Cookie Policy
Last updated · 20 May 2026
Cookies and similar tracking technologies used on cervio.app, operated by Cervio S.R.L., in accordance with EU ePrivacy rules and the GDPR.
This policy applies to the marketing website at https://cervio.app. The Site lets you browse product information and join the waitlist with your email address.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device to help the site work properly, remember your preferences, or collect statistical information.
Alongside cookies, other tracking technologies (e.g. local storage, pixels, fingerprinting) perform similar functions. In this policy, "cookies" is used broadly to include all such tools.
2. Types of cookies
Cookies are classified by function, duration, and who sets them.
By function
Strictly necessary cookies: required for the Site to work (e.g. language preference, security, content delivery). No consent required.
Analytics cookies: collect information about how the Site is used. If properly anonymised and non-profiling, they may be treated like necessary cookies; otherwise consent is required.
Profiling and marketing cookies: track browsing to build profiles and show personalised advertising. Explicit consent required.
By duration
Session cookies: deleted when you close the browser.
Persistent cookies: remain until they expire or you delete them manually.
By party
First-party cookies: set directly by cervio.app.
Third-party cookies: set by domains other than cervio.app.
3. Cookies used on the Site
3.1 Strictly necessary cookies
NEXT_LOCALE - Provider: cervio.app. Purpose: stores your language preference (EN/IT). Duration: up to 1 year.
cervio-consent - Provider: cervio.app. Purpose: stores choices made in the cookie banner. Duration: 6 months.
Vercel cookies - Provider: vercel.com. Purpose: hosting, load balancing, security, CDN. Duration: mostly session-based.
The database (Supabase Postgres) and media storage (Supabase Storage) are used server-side for the CMS and waitlist. They do not set authentication cookies on public marketing visitors.
These cookies are necessary for the Site to function and do not require your consent (except cervio-consent, which records a choice you have already made).
3.2 Analytics cookies
The Site does not currently use traffic analytics tools that rely on cookies (including Google Analytics or similar profiling trackers). Server or hosting-provider metrics may process aggregated, non-identifying technical data.
Note: if non-essential analytics tools are introduced later, this policy will be updated and, where required by law, explicit consent will be collected before they are used.
3.3 Profiling and marketing cookies
The Site does not use profiling or marketing cookies, or third-party advertising cookies.
4. Managing your cookie preferences
4.1 Cookie banner
On your first visit, a banner appears at the bottom-right of the Site so you can accept all cookies, allow only necessary cookies, or customise your choices. Your preferences are stored in the cervio-consent cookie.
You can change your preferences at any time using the "Manage cookies" link in the site footer.
4.2 Browser settings
